Floyd Mayweather planning to unretire for either Conor McGregor or Manny Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather is preparing for a stunning professional comeback into the ring against either Conor McGregor or Manny Pacquiao in 2023.

After defeating McGregor to extend his perfect record to 50-0, the boxing great announced his retirement from the sport in 2017. The 45-year-old has since competed in lucrative exhibition matches against mixed martial artists, internet personalities, and even one of his former sparring partners.

On November 13, Mayweather will return to the ring to face YouTuber Deji. He recently won in his professional boxing debut following three straight losses. The boxing star will be paid between $25 million and $30 million to compete at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai next month, according to the event organizer.

Uday Singh, CEO of Global Titans, recently disclosed that arrangements are in place for Mayweather to resume his professional boxing career. According to Singh, he might earn considerably more money shortly.

Uday Singh told Insider,

“We do have plans to do a real fight, which is not an exhibition fight, with Floyd and someone else next year. We’re looking at Las Vegas as a venue, and that’s somewhere next year after October. We already talked and will announce names a bit later.”

“These are very big names as we’ve had interest from a few people like Conor [McGregor] and Manny Pacquiao.”

Despite McGregor’s recent insistence that he is “not interested” in a rematch at the moment, Mayweather recently said that negotiations for a second bout with him are in progress. However, by saying he would defeat Mayweather in a rematch, McGregor has suddenly made the possibility more likely.

McGregor fractured his tibia and fibula at UFC 264 in July 2021 and is still recovering. He is anticipated to make his MMA comeback in 2023.

On the other hand, due to Pacquiao’s belief that Mayweather is “scared to death” of him and would not consider a second boxing bout, the discussion of a prospective rematch between the two was recently sidelined.
