(Video) Manny Pacquiao’s hologram faces off with YouTuber ahead of ring return

Prior to their exhibition, YouTube personality DK Yoo and legend Manny Pacquiao faced off in Los Angeles.

The former eight-division world champion announced his retirement from boxing last year. However, he has since followed rival Floyd Mayweather by engaging in a lucrative exhibition match with a social media celebrity.

The exhibition match will take place in Seoul’s KINTEX Arena on December 10, pitting Pacquiao against the considerably larger influencer.

Since the boxing star couldn’t make it to Los Angeles for the press conference, he was brought in as a hologram instead of appearing personally. The visuals were intriguing, with Pacquiao seeming to respond to questions from a box while DK Yoo physically appeared.

Even Pacquiao and Yoo were able to engage in a weird face-off utilizing holographic technology, leaving onlookers perplexed. Yoo, who is 5’10”, towered over Pacquiao, who is 5’5″. The two were questioned by reporters in California.

Manny Pacquiao said,

“I am going to prove that I’m still there in this sport and that Manny Pacquiao is not done yet. t’s a great experience to face a martial arts expert and I’m excited for that. I’m also excited to get back to training like what we used to do before and now I’m trying to prove that Manny Pacquiao is still there in boxing.”

“This is my comeback to the ring and I am so excited for that. This is my passion so I have to work hard even though this is just an exhibition match. I want to weigh in around 148lb or 149lb”

DK Yoo seemed astounded to be in the company of a great boxer. He described what the exhibition meant to him by expressing his joy at meeting Pacquiao.

Pacquiao added: “I am very excited, he’s one of the very best boxers in the world But I am just focused on my movement in this event against Manny Pacquiao. I will just try to knock him down, I’m going to apply my movement to the boxing. I’m younger, I am heavier and I have longer arms than him so I will just focus on that.”
