Wait ’till you see what part of his body Eddie Hall tattooed in order to get a Hafthor Bjornsson boxing rematch

Eddie Hall put in a valiant effort but came up short against Icelandic giant Hafthor Bjornsson. Bjornsson might have become a household name thanks to his appearance on popular HBO show Game of thrones, but his peak athletic achievement is having won Strongman of the year award. Hall won the same award previously but was accused by Bjornsson of cheating, which is a grudge that facilitated the match up.

Following the boxing bout a contract that the two signed has become a hot topic. As per the rules of their agreement Hall may request a rematch.

But the rematch had a stipulation – in order to get it there’s a charitable donation required in addition to getting the winner’s name and World’s strongest man script next to it in a tattoo.

Bjornosson seemed reluctant to give Hall a rematch – but said he’d consider if Hall got a tattoo in near future.

That day has come – Eddie Hall debuted his new tattoo on his social media.

Hall had shown his new tattoo after having “World’s Strongest Man, Hafthor Julius Bjornsson” tattooed on the side of his foot. “Could you have had a longer name Thor? I can see the funny side of this, it is what it is and this means that down the line the rematch will happen if it is there,” he said.

“I am a man of my word and I have done something that I said I was going to do and I am looking forward to what is next. But at least this is not as embarrassing as being a sore loser, I can take this as a man and that’s how I see it with this and stay positive.”

Hall captioned the moment:

“Being a man of my word .
Monies is imminent to charities and Larry! Onto the next chapter in my life”

This is perhaps a sign that he’s not looking for an immediate rematch. Previously Bjornsson was quoted saying he’d rather wait two years before the rematch because he wanted to close the book on the rivalry with Hall.

Thor Bjornsson was interested in boxing Hall’s friend Martyn Ford – who was present at the Eddie Hall event and has spoken out about his next opponent likely being either Martyn Ford or KSW vet Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Meanwhile Eddie Hall’s tattoo is on his foot – meaning it’s more likely to fade faster.

As far as tattoo locations go, the feet are known to fade more quickly than other placements. Renowned tattoo artist explained: “The reason foot tattoos fade more quickly is because they come in contact with your shoes.”
