Conor McGregor denies allegations he attacked and threatened to kill a woman on an Ibiza yacht

Conor McGregor has denied allegations that he assaulted and threatened to drown a woman while partying on his yacht in Ibiza.

According to the Spanish publication Ultima Hora via Fox Sport, an Irish lady claimed that the MMA pro hit her in July. The incident is now under investigation in Ibiza.

The UFC icon has denied the existence of such an occurrence. Karen Kessler is a representative for McGregor. She told SPORTbible:

“Mr. McGregor is steadfast in his denial of all the accusations made by a guest on his boat.”

According to the Majorca Daily Bulletin, the unnamed lady allegedly informed Irish police that she “feared for her life.” She claims that the incident took place on July 16 on the day the UFC fighter was celebrating his birthday.

She first met McGregor at a party in Ibiza. McGregor subsequently asked her to join him, his fiancée, and friends on their boat since he recognized her as someone from his Dublin neighborhood.

She said to the police that he suddenly became aggressive the following morning. He started kicking her in the stomach, striking her in the face and threatening to drown her. To go to safety and prevent additional harm, she leapt from the boat.

She allegedly informed Irish police:

“It was as if he was possessed. I knew I had to leave the boat because I thought he was going to kill me. He’s a criminal. I think he would have killed me if I hadn’t left the yacht.”

According to Ultimate Hora, a Red Cross boat rescued the suspected victim. Following the assault, the lady first informed the police that McGregor was not the attacker but rather another male.

She claims that she didn’t accuse McGregor at the time because she was in shock. The lady informed the police that she was just wearing a bikini, had no money or phone, and merely wanted to go back to her hotel in Ibiza as soon as possible.

No investigation was started in Ireland since she hadn’t accused him at the time. However, the event is now under investigation in Ibiza because of the alteration in her charges.

Before deciding whether to prosecute the Irishman with a felony, an Ibiza judge will take statements from the woman and witnesses.
