Johnny Walker stumbles during weigh ins, possibly injures back coming off scales

UFC light heavyweight contender Johnny Walker hilariously stumbled during the weigh ins for his upcoming fight this weekend. The 29-year-old Brazilian was a bit excited walking towards the stage and wasn’t being careful when he climbed up the stairs. He handled it pretty nicely and managed to stay cool.

Johnny Walker is set to headline Saturday’s main event against Jamahal Hill. The two successfully made weight and are ready to bump fists at UFC Vegas 48. Johnny Walker hit 206 pounds while Jamahal Hill weighed in with 205 on the scale.

Every fighter for tomorrow’s event successfully made weight except for Gabriel Benitez. He scored two pounds over the featherweight limit for his fight against David Onama.

Walker and Hill got on the main event after the actual headliner, Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev, was postponed due to visa problems.

This is the second time Johnny Walker got to perform in the main event. In his last fight in October of last year, Walker fought fellow Brazilian Thiago Santos. However, Santos lost the fight via unanimous decision.

Johnny Walker has gone 4-3 since he entered the UFC through Dana White’s Contender Series in Brazil in 2018. He fought for a full three rounds against Henrique da Silva and was announced as the victor via unanimous decision. So far, Johnny Walker has a professional MMA score consisting of 18 wins and 6 losses.

Walker infamously injured his shoulder during a post fight celebration in the cage.
