Julianna Pena set to have a fan in her corner at UFC 277

Julianna Pena is looking to make history both inside and outside of the Octagon. With her
most recent performance, she has already made waves in the MMA community. Now, she is
setting her sights on continuing to break boundaries and fulfil her goals.

In recent years, mixed martial arts (MMA) has seen an influx of eccentric cornerman
choices. Notable examples include D.U.S.T. Commander Dale Brown, Mike Perry’s girlfriend
Latory Gonzalez, and self-proclaimed con artist Joshua Fabia.

While Pena isn’t quite
following in their footsteps, she is doing something different. Pena is partnering with Antic to
offer fans the opportunity to purchase a Non-Fungible Token (NFT). This will allow them to
experience the UFC championship like never before. Some of the several benefits include
having the ability to corner Pena ahead of her rematch with Amanda Nunes at UFC 277 on
July 30, 2022.

Pena told MMA Mania that this is a great opportunity for fans to join her fan club. They will
get exclusive access to video content, pictures, and behind-the-scenes information that she
doesn’t share on social media. This is a rare opportunity to get a glimpse into the private life
of a reserved celebrity. I wish to share my special content with only those who are committed
to being my fans and supporters. I know I can count on them to be 110% behind me and my
work. This is a way for me to give back to those who have shown their dedication to me and
my art.

“One lucky member of this special drop will have the opportunity to walk out to the Octagon
with me,” to experience being in my corner in real-time. This has never happened before and
they will get to experience everything except being punched in the face.

Pena has assembled a team to select a winner for the “Venezuelan Vixen” fan club through
a raffle. The winner will be subject to a background check. Additional perks for members of
the fan club include access to a cigar club, the ability to join Pena’s training camps, and
even the chance to train directly with her. There are also options such as taking her to the
movies, deciding her clothing, walkout song choice, and essentially any day-to-day life
choices.

The winner was announced today on Twitter. (Mon., June 20, 2022)

Despite the challenges it posed to her privacy, Pena found the prospect of the project
exciting. “It’s kind of exciting,” she said. “I gave it a shot the other day and I was like, ‘What
shirt should I wear? Notorious B.I.G. or Metallica?'”

Pena is hopeful that the project will be well-received by fans, noting that she is often quite
isolated in her life outside of fighting and parenting. She said “I think it’s going to be pretty
cool and that it will be welcomed just because I’m bored,” she said. “I have no balance in life
and this event would help her achieve some of it.
