Joey Beltran Almost Choked To Death, BKFC President David Feldman saved his life

The BKFC President David Feldman has saved the life of UFC vet Joey Beltran. BKFC had given Beltran a lucrative earning opportunity in addition to actually saving his life.

Former BKFC heavyweight champion Beltran was having breakfast earlier on Thursday, when an accident compromised his life.

During a breakfast, a coach of Beltran shared a funny video with him. While laughing at the video, Beltran started choking on his food.

“I started choking,” Beltran told TMZ. “I couldn’t cough up the food, I stood up and started panicking.”

The BKFC boss, who sat at a table nearby then quickly took action during the dire situation.

“We were actually just sitting there, I was having a conversation with one of my guys and he pointed and said, ‘Your main event’s choking,’ and I’m like, ‘What are you talking about?’” Feldman told MMA Fighting. “I turn around and I’m like, holy sh*t!”

“He was choking. He was trying to cough it up but he wasn’t making any noise and he was actually starting to turn colors.”

Feldman quickly does the Heimlich maneuver several times until Beltran spits the food out.

“I jumped up and I gave him the Heimlich three times, he spit the food out and he was good,” Feldman said. “It was crazy. Jumped up and did it and ultimately saved him so it’s a good thing. I’m happy, he’s happy. Joey’s alive and kicking so everything is good.”

Beltran later added that following the incident, he believed that the BKFC President cares about his fighters and that he would take action to save one of them.

“Of all people, the boss man had to come up and bust the Heimlich [maneuver],” Beltran said.

“A couple pumps and I spit up the food out and it was all good. Contrary to popular belief, Dave Feldman cares about us fighters.”

Beltran later took on Frank Tate on the BKFC Fort Lauderdale main event, losing by knockout 23 seconds into the first round.
