Fitness Influencer Fires At Uber Driver For Returning To Ask Girlfriend For Her Number

Khuslen Saruultuya spent years building an online identity around discipline: workout routines, diet plans, the kind of content that promises followers a better version of themselves if they just stick to the program.

According to sources, early on October 12 Miami-Dade investigators say that image collided with a very different reality outside an apartment complex. A delivery driver ended up with a wound to the back of his head and a graze along his buttock. Saruultuya who performs online as Khuslen Khan, ended up in custody.

The 33-year-old fitness model and trainer, who once told Wire Magazine he built a business coaching clients and selling workout and diet plans alongside a friend, now faces attempted felony murder and aggravated battery with a weapon, according to Miami-Dade court records.

According to the arrest report, the night began with nothing more dramatic than a food order. An Uber Eats driver dropped off a delivery and exchanged a few words with a woman at the complex. Hoping to get her number, he came back roughly 50 minutes later. He could not find her, and as he walked toward his vehicle, investigators say Saruultuya pulled up in a gray Corvette.

What happened next per the arrest report, escalated fast. Saruultuya allegedly pointed a weapon at the driver and told him to get on the ground. Investigators say he then fired, grazing the driver’s right buttock, before striking the back of his head with the weapon hard enough to leave a two-inch wound.

The driver told deputies that Saruultuya pointed the weapon at his head and said, “I am going to end you.” A woman at the scene believed to be the same woman the driver had hoped to reach, reportedly begged him to stop. She told him, “Babe, please stop!”

The driver managed to get away and drove himself to South Miami Hospital for treatment.

Investigators say the case came together through a license plate a witness provided, which traced back to Saruultuya’s Corvette. The driver later identified him in a photo lineup.

After his arrest, the affidavit states Saruultuya told deputies the firearm involved was in his personal bag, which he believed was back at his residence.

That residence turned out to hold more than deputies initially expected. A separate affidavit says an initial sweep of the apartment turned up suspected narcotics, prompting investigators to secure a search warrant. What they found according to the report, was a bedroom set up for preparing and packaging narcotics, along with $11,394 in cash that was seized as part of the investigation.

Saruultuya’s attorney Gennaro Cariglio Jr., entered a written not-guilty plea in the shooting case on October 13 and requested a jury trial. As of October 14, county custody records placed Saruultuya at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, held without bond on the attempted felony murder count.
