Who did Alex Pereira lose to in MMA? Alex Pereira’s only loss in MMA was an all out war until he got submitted

Alex Pereira certainly made waves with an electric performance at UFC 276 during which he sent Sean Strickland to the shadow realm.

Pereira is a lauded prospect in MMA, having spent the majority of his career in kickboxing with a record of 33 wins and 7 losses (21 knock out victories) including the two victories over reigning middleweight champion in the UFC, Israel Adesanya.

Pereira is training with former light heavyweight champion Glover Teixeira and has 6 wins and 1 loss in his professional MMA career. He is currently 35 years old.

Pereira’s first loss came from his first try at MMA when he fought Quemuel Ottoni at Jungle Fight 82. This was back in 2015.

Ottoni has 12 wins and 3 losses in his professional record at this time and is 6 years youner than Pereira. Ottoni also recently beat Junior Marques in the LFA 112: Welterweight Grand Prix.

Considering that Pereira condemned Adesanya for the performance he put out at UFC 276 it’s certain that when these two meet again it will be an all out war.

“He did his part, but it was a fight that not only didn’t excite me but it also did not excite the crowd,” Pereira said via a Portuguese translator
“I was very sad to see that, so I hope when we fight he does a better fight than that. But for sure, I’m going to make him fight to give a better show to the crowd.”

“A lot of people talk, especially fighters, they think they have a chance over me, so it feels good to prove that because at the end of the day it’s what the people want,” Pereira said.

“People want to see knockouts. People want to see the style that I fight. People want to see whoever is in front of me getting knocked out and that’s what I bring for them.”
