Independent wrestling figure Effy didn’t mince words in a recent segment on his Weekend at Effy’s podcast, where he openly shared his unfiltered opinions on former WWE superstar Ronda Rousey. The outspoken promoter expressed his criteria for respecting a wrestler and didn’t shy away from labeling Rousey as the “dumbest b*tch of all time.”
Effy outlined three criteria for earning his respect in the wrestling world: a minimal proficiency in wrestling, a belief in the validity of trans individuals, and acknowledgment of events like Sandy Hook. According to him, Rousey falls short on all three fronts, leading to his unapologetic critique.
He stated, “Ronda Rousey is the dumbest b*tch of all time, and she is not good at wrestling. She is transphobic, and she questioned the reality of whether Sandy Hook happened.”
Effy continued his critique, emphasizing Rousey’s perceived lack of skill in the wrestling ring. He sarcastically suggested that she might as well join AEW, which he humorously refers to as “WCW Jr.”
“And you’re really bad at wrestling; you’ve never had a good wrestling match. And here we are. Just, let’s rehire her for another company. WCW Jr. is looking great right now. The new WCW? It’s fantastic. They’ve got Tony Schiavone, Sting, Ric Flair, and Ronda Rousey. What a f*cking future for professional wrestling we’re creating right now.”
While Rousey hasn’t signed with AEW, she recently appeared at an ROH event, teaming up with Marina Shafir. However, there are no expectations of her making further appearances for ROH or AEW in the immediate future.
