When Kevin Holland called out Khamzat Chimaev for a Racist gesture

Some time back Kevin Holland had an interesting interaction with UFC Welterweight star Khamzat Chimaev.

During the event, Kevin Holland defeated Darren Stewart by a split decision. Later, during the event, Khamzat would make quick work of Gerald Meerschaert by knocking him out in a devastating fashion.

After his victory, Holland called out the then up-and-coming prospect, Khamzat Chimaev, which apparently did not sit well with the Chechen star.

During the press conference, Holland detailed an altercation he had with Chimaev backstage at the event.

“He pushed me,” Holland said during the press conference. “He pushed me and said I was the help. We did start a COVID cleaning business, but, goddamn, I don’t work at the hotel. And don’t tell the people you don’t know who I am.

He’s playing a role. What you see with me is what you get, and what you see from some of these other guys is what you get. It kind of reminds me of a Jon Jones situation. You want to be this, you want to be that, and then when sh*t hits the fan, we find out who you truly are. Give it a couple of years, and you’ll find out who that guy really is. He damn sure ain’t Khabib.”

If you put your hands on me, you’re eventually going to have to catch it. I’m a professional, so I’ll be professional as much as I can. I don’t want to get kicked out and miss my big payday. You’ve seen Harlem Nights, right? When Eddie Murphy was getting into it with the [woman] and he blew her big toe off? Don’t f*ck with me.

Unfortunately, that wouldn’t be the first time Chimaev has been accused of racism. In the past, the Chechen fighter made a racist remark towards Shavkat Rakhmonov.

In an Instagram comment, Chimaev referred to Rakhmonov as “Чурбан”, meaning “chump” a derogatory term for a person from Central Asia.
