Dana White dissuades Cejudo from trash talking McGregor

Former UFC double champs Conor McGregor and Henry Cejudo are often clashing on social media.

Since both are ineligible to get licensed for a UFC bout anytime soon, their showdowns are limited to social media, with ‘Triple C’ starting things out most of the time

It is believed that the trash talking is Cejudo’s effort to finally get a decent payday. In the past, Khabib Nurmagomedov revealed he couldn’t believe how low Cejudo’s pay was. So it seems reasonable to assume Cejudo is after a red panty night

“Red panty night” is a term coined by McGregor. It describes the celebration of fortune acquired from taking on McGregor in the octagon.

Cejudo has been active on social media to harass the McGregor into agreeing to clash with him, even though most fans aren’t too fond of the idea.

And it’s not only the fans this time.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, the UFC president Dana White also revealed that he’s not a fan of anything Cejudo is trying to pull.

“No. Cejudo’s retired… Cejudo’s retired, you know? Cejudo knows what he needs to do to get back in and get whatever. I mean, talking sh** on Instagram doesn’t get you fights.”

While for the Irishman, White stated that he doesn’t have plans for him, at least until he gets medical clearance to fight.

“When he’s a 100% ready, then I’ll start thinking about him, and who he’s going to fight, and all that stuff. But no. Not till he gets cleared and gets a date where he can start training.”

McGregor has been sidelined from competition due to the scary leg injury he suffered on his latest outing against Dustin Poirier last July.

While for Cejudo, after retiring in May 2020, he has been out of the USADA testing pool, hence, won’t be licensed to fight anytime soon.

And now with McGregor stated that he will only fight at welterweight moving forward, the fight is most likely off the table.
