Alexander Volkanovski picks Zuckerberg against Musk: “(I) was genuinely impressed by his athleticism”‘

The possibility of a showdown between Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk in a hand-to-hand combat cage match has created a buzz in the world of combat sports. While the news spread like wildfire, UFC featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovski weighed in on the potential match-up, sharing his thoughts based on personal experience.

The social media feud between the billionaire businessmen quickly gained traction, and UFC president Dana White confirmed that Zuckerberg and Musk are genuinely interested in making this fight happen.

In response, several notable mixed martial artists have voiced their opinions on the matter, with some even engaging in sparring sessions with Musk or Zuckerberg. Recently, Elon Musk was seen training alongside renowned athletes and coaches, including Lex Fridman, John Danaher, and UFC legend Georges St-Pierre. St-Pierre shared a picture of their training session on social media, leaving many to reassess their predictions of the fight, given Musk’s preparation with such esteemed company.

However, UFC champion Alexander Volkanovski remains firm in his stance. In a recent interview, the 34-year-old shared his personal encounters with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, emphasizing the latter’s athleticism compared to Musk. Despite Musk’s physical advantages, Volkanovski is confident that Zuckerberg will come out on top.

“I fully support Zuckerberg in this match. I can tell you from firsthand experience that he is quite the athlete. I’ve spent time with him and was genuinely impressed by his athleticism and fitness level,” Volkanovski stated.

He continued, “That definitely counts for a lot. Additionally, Zuckerberg also practices martial arts, which adds to his advantage. While Elon is significantly bigger, that’s where they can level the playing field. But personally, I’m backing Zuckerberg all the way.”

A number of UFC athletes have lined up behind Musk including Georges St Pierre and Jorge Masvidal.

Musk is a much taller man, although he is substantially older and out of shape. Musk has joked that he’d like to walrus the clash and incapacitate Zuckerberg by his sheer mass.
