Dillon Danis fires back after Paige VanZant claims he’s not a fighter: Don’t make me bring up our two trips

Paige VanZant is gearing up for her comeback after a three-year hiatus. She recently made some pointed remarks about Dillon Danis, claiming he lacks the essence of a true combat sports athelete.

VanZant is set to re-enter the combat sports arena on May 25 in the MF & DAZN X Series 15 main event. She will be facing off against Elle Brooke, a prominent figure in the OnlyF*ns content scene with a 4-1 record against influencers.

During an interview with Misfits Boxing, VanZant was questioned about MMA fighters transitioning to boxing and their lack of success. In response, she singled out Danis and cited his underwhelming performance against Logan Paul.

She stated: “Dillon Danis is not a fighter. He’s not a fair comparison.”

Danis swiftly reacted to VanZant’s comments on Twitter, expressing his discontent. He posted a screenshot of VanZant’s Instagram comment along with a witty retort, insinuating past interactions between them and challenging her not to dwell on petty grievances.

He wrote on X: “How fast they forget! Haha, relax, Paigey baby, just because I didn’t wife you doesn’t mean you have to be petty. Don’t make me bring up our two trips to Vegas and ruin your marriage.”

In October 2023, Danis faced off against Logan Paul in a boxing match as part of Misfit’s The Prime Card. Despite a commendable MMA record of 2-0 in Bellator, Danis had been on a four-year hiatus from active competition. However, his return was marred by a disqualification after he attempted to execute a guillotine choke on Paul.

On other hand, Paige VanZant left the UFC in July 2020 after losing to Amanda Ribas by submission in the first round. After that, VanZant competed twice in bare-knuckle boxing under the BKFC promotion. She ended up losing to Rachael Ostovich and Britain Hart.

Since then, VanZant has made two attempts to compete in BKFC before the bouts were postponed and eventually called off. The 30-year-old now aims to defeat Elle Brooke, a superstar in the Misfits Boxing women’s divisions.
