(Video) WWE’s Rey Mysterio pays homage to Dillon Danis during dust up with Logan Paul

In a riveting showdown at the Misfits X Dazn boxing event in October 2023, Dillon Danis stepped into the boxing ring for the very first time to face off against the YouTube sensation and WWE superstar Logan Paul.

During the match, ‘Danis  attempted a takedown and even resorted to an illegal chokehold against Paul. Despite the referee’s call for a pause in action, Danis relentlessly pursued Paul which led to a chaotic brawl.

This ultimately resulted in Danis being disqualified and Paul being declared the winner via disqualification (DQ).

In the lead-up to the bout, Danis directed a relentless barrage of verbal attacks towards Paul’s fiancée Nina Agdal. He made derogatory remarks and shared explicit content featuring Agdal online.

Nina Agdal took legal action, securing a restraining order against Danis. She also filed a lawsuit against Danis, accusing him of harassment and defamation. She alleged that he gained unauthorized access to her private photos and videos through social media hacking, subsequently exposing her private content.

The legal battle between them is currently ongoing.

One of the most memorable moments in the Danis-Paul feud occurred during their press conference before their match. After a heated verbal exchange on stage, the two combatants were expected to face off for a photo opportunity.

However, tensions boiled over as Paul flung what seemed to be a water bottle at Danis. This prompted the BJJ athlete to retaliate by hurling a microphone in Paul’s direction.

Despite his victory over Dillon Danis in their boxing match, Logan Paul once again found himself in a similar situation. This time it was at the hands of WWE legend Rey Mysterio.

Scheduled to face off against Rey Mysterio for the United States Championship at WWE’s Crown Jewel event on November 4, 2023, Paul ended up reliving the microphone incident during their press conference before the match.

While Dillon Danis’ future in combat sports remains uncertain, he continues to take jabs at Logan Paul. The 30-year-old has officially appealed to have his DQ defeat overturned.

Additionally, he’s taken to Twitter to address the microphone incident with Paul. He cheekily commented, “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.”
