(Video) Wrestler born without legs shares inspiring MMA training session

Life is often anything but fair. But there’s always a chance that you can overcome limits imposed by nature. This is why combat sports are so interesting to watch. Wrestler Zion Clark recently shared a stunning video showcasing himself during an intense MMA training session.

Now this would be very mundane if it weren’t for the fact that Clark was born without his legs. He suffers from a medical condition called Caudal regression Syndrome.

What is Caudal regression Syndrome?

Caudal regression syndrome is a congenital disorder that affects the lower half of the body.

According to wikipedia Caudal regression syndrome, or sacral agenesis (or hypoplasia of the sacrum), is a rare birth defect. It is a congenital disorder in which the fetal development of the lower spine—the caudal partition of the spine—is abnormal. It occurs at a rate of approximately one per 60,000 live births. Clark was placed into foster care upon birth and bounced around 9 different foster homes in Ohio and New York until the age of 16.

“I had to deal with trying to survive on my own and just make it through life because a lot of these families were just there for a check,” Clark told Insider. “I was the kid that they got for the wrong reason.”

“They made it seem like I was the absolute worst kid on the planet, but my mom didn’t believe them,” Clark told insider.

Despite his condition Zion became an All-American wrestler at Kent State University and a two-time state champion in track.
