Former UFC star Paige VanZant and model Elle Brooke recently came face-to-face ahead of their highly anticipated boxing match. The two will square off on May 25th at the MF & DAZN: X Series 15 event, with Brooke’s MFB women’s middleweight title on the line.
VanZant, 30, joined the UFC in 2014 and quickly became a fan favorite due to her exciting style and charismatic personality. Despite a respectable 8-5 professional MMA record, her UFC tenure ended in 2020. She has since transitioned to other combat sports ventures, including a brief stint in professional wrestling and two bare-knuckle boxing matches.
On the other hand, Brooke, 26, is a relative newcomer to the world of boxing but has already made a name for herself. After joining the Misfits boxing promotion last year, she dominated several opponents en route to capturing the middleweight title with a victory over Andrea-Jane Bunker in January.
During their recent face-off, the two boxers exchanged verbal jabs, with Brooke expressing confidence in her boxing experience giving her an edge. “The experience gap in boxing would lead her into pummeling VanZant in the upcoming match,” Brooke stated.
However, VanZant remained unfazed, citing her extensive overall combat sports experience as a significant advantage. “It’s not just the experience in the boxing ring that can give you experience. It’s every athletic competition that I had up until this moment and all the hours I’ve put into training,” VanZant countered.
She added, “And those are significantly much much more than the amount of time that she has been training over the last few years.”
With both exuding confidence and determination, their May 25th clash promises to be an exciting showdown between two popular combat sports personalities.
