(Video) Nate Diaz releases backstage footage of UFC 279 brawl that caused the presser to be cancelled

Nate Diaz was among the chief culprits for the presser ahead of UFC 279 getting cancelled. The Diaz crew reportedly came in hot and jumped into an ongoing conflict between Kevin Holland and Khamzat Chimaev due to the fact that Chimaev was accompanied by a person who defused the Holland conflict.

This had never happened before in UFC’s long history but the biggest ‘victim’ of the whole shuffle was Li Jingliang. Jingliang had overspent on a tailored suit and in the end didn’t even get to show it off.

“Did you guys see his suit? Yeah, I felt bad for him. They should have showed him love,” Diaz said.

Nate Diaz has recently posted a video detailing all the controversy leading up to and after UFC 279: Diaz vs. Chimaev.

Khamzat Chimaev missed weight by a whopping 7.5 pounds.

Chimaev was relegated to a co-main event against Kevin Holland as a result of the significant weight miss.

The organization pitted Khamzat Chimaev against Kevin Holland and Nate Diaz against Tony Ferguson. Nate Diaz is now a free agent, and Khamzat and Nate both departed Las Vegas with victories to their names.

Many people have observed that the circumstance didn’t look nearly as tumultuous as the Nate Diaz vs. Conor McGregor news conference situation. This may be attributed to UFC security, who acted quickly to move Team Diaz members out the side door.

In the video, Music is playing as Nate Diaz works out to gain weight at his rented Las Vegas villa. The Stockton boxer is trying to reach welterweight. Nate is in the sauna shaving off those last, obstinate pounds the next morning. Cameras capture him talking on the phone with his manager Zach Rosenfield as he walks to the official commission weigh-ins.

Rosenfield said: “I said ‘Go get Tony Ferguson ready, we’ll fight Tony Ferguson. Keep your cut going.”

Diaz ended up watching Ferguson footage at a concert he attended with his crew the night before UFC 279 but due to some misguided advice from Ferguson’s corner, he was able to snag the win.
