MMA legends Tito Ortiz and Cris Cyborg star in comically named Operation Black Operation

UFC legends Tito Ortiz and Cris Cyborg are set to captivate audiences with their upcoming roles in the low budget action movie ‘Operation Black Ops’. The film, scheduled for release in July, promises to deliver an C movie experience that MMA fans won’t want to miss.

Since his retirement in 2019, Tito Ortiz has embarked on a series of exciting ventures, constantly pushing his boundaries. The former UFC light heavyweight champion has dabbled in various pursuits, including acting, city councilmanship, wrestling, boxing, and even venturing into the world of energy drink creation. Despite his seasoned status, Ortiz continues to immerse himself in a multitude of endeavors.

In ‘Operation Black Ops’, Ortiz will take on the role of Noah, while his esteemed fellow UFC legend, Cris Cyborg, will portray the character of Chicago. This dynamic duo will bring their star power and undeniable talent to the screen, elevating the intensity of the film.

The plot revolves around a group of skilled mercenaries entrusted with a crucial mission: dismantling a dangerous Neo nationalist organization headquartered in Texas. This exciting project is not Ortiz’s first foray into the world of movies. The ‘Huntington Beach Boy’ has made notable cameo appearances in films such as 2008’s ‘Zombie Stripper’ and 2003’s ‘Cradle 2: The Grave’. He also showcased his acting chops as a co-star in 2005’s ‘The Crow: Wicked Prayer’. More recently, Ortiz delighted audiences with his appearance in the 2017 film ‘Boo 2! A Madea Halloween’.

He also starred in another movie from the same team a flick titled Robot Apocalypse.

Similarly, Cris Cyborg has also embraced the silver screen, appearing in productions such as the inspiring documentary ‘Cris Cyborg on Fighting Like a Girl’ in 2015. Unlike Ortiz, Cyborg continues to make waves in the MMA world, with her most recent victory in 2022 against Arlene Blencowe in Bellator MMA. As a free agent, she is poised to explore new opportunities beyond the octagon.

Interestingly, staff of Operation Black ops failed to spell Justino’s name properly in the credits.
