Mike Tyson struggles to eat as health concerns mount

Boxing legend Mike Tyson drew concerns among fans after he was seen struggling to eat a cookie. Fans speculated that ‘Iron’ Mike has a deteriorating health condition.

Mike Tyson is undoubtedly one of the scariest boxers to ever step foot in the ring. The former heavyweight world champion had a violent style and was a knockout artist. He often intimidated his opponents even before they met him in the squared circle.

Mike Tyson retired from professional boxing in 2005 but made a comeback in an exhibition boxing match in 2020 when he took on fellow legend Roy Jones Jr. Mike Tyson has a plan to continue having exhibition bouts, however, he might not be able to.

The 56-year-old often shows signs that he is not in good health. Back in July, he was spotted entering his hotel in New York with his new walking stick. It’s pretty clear that the stick he was using wasn’t meant for fashion. In addition to that, Tyson also walked pretty slowly. His appearance surely concerned a lot of boxing fans around the world.

The most recent video had fans worried. Tyson was visibly struggling to eat a cookie. Tyson appeared on his famous podcast ‘Hotboxin’. He was eating cookies and at one moment, his hand started to shake like having a tremor.

Mike Tyson talked about his condition to Newsmax TV back in August. The Brooklyn born said that he suffers from ‘sciatica’, a nerve problem that can cause pain and shut down the body. Tyson convinced fans that it wasn’t a big deal and he even grateful that it’s the only health problem he has.

“I have sciatica and from time to time this problem comes up. When it flares up, I can’t even talk! Thank God it’s the only health problem I have. I’m splendid now.” Tyson explained.
