McGregor accuser’s Dublin home under attack, police called on scene

It’s been almost a year since Samantha Murphy accused UFC star Conor McGregor of assaulting her during a party on his yacht near the Balearic Islands. While McGregor vehemently denies the allegations, a Spanish court investigated the incident. However, the saga continues with recent reports of a break-in at Murphy’s home in south Dublin.

According to The Irish Mirror, the Gardai are investigating a break-in at a residential property in Drimnagh, Dublin 12. A brick was thrown through a window at around 5:20 am on February 15, 2023. Thankfully, no injuries were reported. However, this incident is not the first at the same location.

On January 19, 2023, there was an attempted arson at the same property. It’s worth noting that neither of these incidents has been linked to the allegations made by Murphy against McGregor.

The Gardai issued a statement following the incident, confirming that investigations are ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this stage. While it’s unclear if these incidents are connected, it’s a troubling development, and the Gardai are taking it very seriously.

Murphy claimed that McGregor assaulted her during his birthday celebrations on his yacht last year. She alleges that he kicked and hit her before threatening to drown her. She says she had to jump overboard and was eventually rescued by a Red Cross vessel.

McGregor hasn’t been criticized over this incident. The brunt of attention in MMA media is turned toward his announced return against Michael Chandler following a stint coaching TUF season 31.

He has departed Ireland recently, and is on route to Las Vegas, where the reality series will be filmed.

McGregor is still suffering from shoulder issues in the fall out from his car accident in which a car ran his bike off the road. Some UFC fans speculated online that the entire car episode might’ve been a ploy to win over sympathy after the yacht incident was published and even went so far to suggest McGregor might’ve staged it.
