Khabib working with the UFC on a documentary

Khabib Nurmagomedov has undeniably etched his name as one of the most iconic figures in the realm of mixed martial arts within the contemporary era. His exceptional skill set and unwavering dedication have marked an era of supremacy in the UFC’s lightweight division.

During a recent live on Instagram alongside UFC president Dana White, Khabib Nurmagomedov unknowingly hinted at an upcoming venture that has piqued the curiosity of combat sports enthusiasts worldwide. Khabib revealed that he is working on a documentary with the promotion.

This revelation seemed to come ahead of schedule, as White welcomed Khabib on camera as he and the audience were watching UFC Fight Night: Holloway vs. The Korean Zombie live.

When posed with the question about his current endeavors, the former lightweight champion divulged that he was in Dagestan. Khabib went on to say that he was actively collaborating with a dedicated camera crew sent by none other than Dana White himself.

The unanticipated announcement momentarily caught White off guard. However, he swiftly regained his composure. This exchange seemed to unveil that the decision had not yet been solidified between the two parties prior to this candid moment.

Khabib Nurmagomedov said: “Right now, I’m working with your [Dana White] people, you send here like 25 camera about the documentary. [Oh alright, we doing this s**t? Or what are we doing?] Yeah, I’m working on this, like last five days. It’s very busy, you know.”

“Even now, these people waiting for me. [So you’re in?] Yes, I’m in. [So there you go, you heard it here first ladies and gentlemen, we’re doing a documentary on Khabib, my man.]”

Khabib Nurmagomedov went on to express his enthusiasm for the forthcoming documentary project, potentially set to grace screens in the upcoming year.

“I think this year is gonna be very busy and next year, around like about summer, it’s gonna be like one of the best documentary.”

Earlier this year, Khabib Nurmagomedov chose to take a step back from his involvement in all MMA-related commitments. He said that it as because he wanted to spend more time with his family and children.

During an insightful conversation with Patrick Bet-David, Khabib shared his perspectives on parenthood and contemplated the potential of his son following in his esteemed footsteps.

He said: “Honestly, I’m gonna let him [his son] choose what he wants… I’m gonna let him choose, about professional life, I’m not gonna force him at all… If he says I wanna be like you, I wanna be world champion, this is your choice… I’m gonna help him, but I’d never push him to become professional… but he has no choice about one thing. He is a man and he’s gonna train.”
