Claressa Shields wants Anderson Silva to knock out Jake Paul

Jake Paul is hated by many. It’s no secret that many are watching and waiting for him to fail. One of them is the Undisputed Women’s Middleweight boxing champion, Claressa Shields.

The two-division undisputed champion even backs Anderson Silva to knock out the YouTuber should they really share the ring.

“I want Anderson Silva to knock out Jake Paul. That’s what I want. And I believe that he’s the guy to do it. I think that Paul has fought against Tyron Woodley, who’s a great guy, great MMA fighter but Silva is showing that he’s a really really good boxer even though he has an MMA background. So I would love to see Silva fight Paul. I think both guys are really enhancing their skills. I just don’t really like Jake Paul like that.” Shields told The Schmo in an interview.

Shields fought two times in PFL last year, winning one and losing another. She is particularly salty towards Jake Paul because they have a long history. Shields first started saying that she could defeat Paul in boxing some months back.

Paul called her on the comments and gloated once she lost a decision victory in PFL.

Subsequently it was revealed that Shields’ manager had asked for her to be on a Paul undercard and was denied the request which made her camp particularly jaded towards them.

Silva last boxed in May, dominating Bruno Machado in an exhibition bout with no judges in Dubai. His fight against Machado was part of the exhibition card headlined by Floyd Mayweather Jr. against Don Moore.

‘The Spider’ has hung his 4oz gloves in 2020 following his TKO loss against Uriah Hall. However, he continued his fighting career in pro boxing, having two victories against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. and Tito Ortiz since.

Paul knocked out Tyron Woodley in their December rematch, and has been out of the ring for a while. But recently, he planned a return in August with Anderson Silva being one of the potential opponents.
