Brendan Schaub thinks Khabib should return to MMA if he wants something done against Covington

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s call for the boycott of Colby Covington reverberated all through the MMA last week. Despite being retired Nurmagomedov is still quite an authority in the world of mixed martial arts. Nurmagomedov took offense to Covington pressing charges against Jorge Masvidal for the stick up he staged in front of a Miami steakhouse due to the fact that he believes Covington crossed boundaries during the UFC 272 promotion.

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has been told to stop attention seeking and take it up with Colby Covington himself if he has problems with his antics.

MMA ‘analyst’ Brendan Schaub ripped Khabib Nurmagomedov for ‘making the headlines with hot takes’ which is already next level irony. Brendan feels if Khabib has such a problem with Colby he should come out of retirement and deal with him, instead of telling others to boycott Covington.

While speaking on his podcast ‘The Schaub Show’ Brandon said:

“What are you doing dude?”

“Always trying to make the headlines with hot takes, right? And I love Khabib but that ain’t a hill to die on. ‘Boycott fighting him.’ I have an idea, Khabib, why don’t you get out of retirement and beat Colby. Why don’t you do it the legal way?”

“Khabib, he’s keeping himself relevant, he has his fight league and stuff like that. He said, ‘If Conor beats Makhachev, I’ll come out of retirement.’ All good! Keep the same energy here, though. If you don’t like Colby so much, come out of retirement and fight him.”

No word yet on what Schaub is doing to stay relevant after amicably leaving Showtime.

Jorge Masvidal has pleaded ‘not guilty’ to all charges pressed and will appear before a court on Thursday, April 21 later this year. This is especially odd considering he bragged about the incident on social media himself.
