Bisping shares fan theory on Conor McGregor: Was the car crash faked to distract from alleged assault?

Conor McGregor allegedly assaulted a woman on a boat. Recently, the woman’s vehicle was also set on fire.

The MMA champion allegedly assaulted, kicked, and threatened to drown Samantha Murphy before she leapt from the boat and broke her arm. After travelling back to Ireland, she filed a formal complaint regarding McGregor with Dublin police.

At the request of her attorneys, the inquiry into the alleged incident has been reopened several days ago. The incident is said to have taken place aboard her superyacht in Ibiza in July 2022.

Conor McGregor went on to self report an incident in which a car ran him off the road while he was cycling.

McGregor said in the caption: “Got a bang of a car just now from behind. A sun trap, the driver couldn’t see me. Full speed straight thru me.”

He added: “Thank you God, it wasn’t my time. Thank you wrestling and judo also. Having an awareness on the landing saved my life.”

After being pushed off his bike, McGregor survived the accident with just minor injuries from the collision. He said: “All good mate, don’t worry about it.”

Later on he shared a conspicuous image of the injuries he received during the incident.

Former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping discussed the incident on an episode of his podcast.

“Well, have you seen all the you’ve seen all the conspiracy theories, right?” – Bisping asked of his co-hosts.

“I’m judging by the comments, a lot of people in the comments and on Twitter, I saw I’m not saying this, but this is what this is a theory.”

“this is a distraction from what it was in the headlines for last week, all of a sudden being all nice because he was the one filming himself. So, of course, he’s going to he’s going to be polite on camera, you know. What do you think of that?”

One of the producers replied: “Well, I didn’t see any road rash out of them, that’s for one thing. I’m just thinking that as you’re saying it.”

To which Bisping countered: “Yeah, yeah. No, no, I’m not saying that. But I did see a lot of people saying that. And, you know, people are always going to speculate and come up with bloody nonsense. I mean, always. But yeah, the good idea. I think it’s a good idea. It’s a good idea. He’s a really solid guy. He just almost got killed.”
