The Winter Olympics typically commandeer less attention of the public than the Summer games. These latests games are no different – especially considering the closeness to Tokyo games.
But what’s capturing the attention of the audience is the way China has opted to facilitate certain events.
In a characteristic no nonsense fashion China apparently opted to host a freestyle skiing platform in a middle of a Nuclear Power Plant – of all places?!
One internet commenter provided necessary context.
“The big air ramps are temporary structures. They probably built it there because it was close to the other venues. The blue marks are the alpine and snowboarding locations, orange marks are everything else. The big air ramp is the far left orange mark.”

According to the Olympics coverage the backdrop for the Skii polygon was the first state owned factory – and it is being turned into a museum.
