(Video) Jake Gyllenhaal films action scene during UFC 285

Jake Gyllenhaal previously made a UFC 285 weigh in appearance alongside co-star Conor McGregor. He was there filming a scene for their movie, Road House. Road house is a remake of a Patrick Swayze feature from the 80s.

Hollywood actor Jake Gyllenhaal surprised UFC fans with his action performance during his ‘debut octagon appearance’ at UFC 285. The actor, who is set to star in the upcoming remake of the 80s cult classic Road House, graced the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, much to the excitement of the crowd.

The Nightcrawler star walked out to the octagon in typical UFC fashion, accompanied by Cutman Brad Tate, who even stopped him for the vaseline drill. The entire arena was buzzing with excitement as the actor prepared to show off his skills.

During the bout, Gyllenhaal was seen with his back against the cage taking faux devastating hooks from his opponent, who reportedly played the UFC middleweight champ. However, the actor quickly turned the tables with a powerful body shot, followed by two punches to the head that rocked his opponent.

Gyllenhaal went on to finish the with a huge flying knee followed with ground and pound, earning him the title of UFC middleweight champ. However, it’s worth noting that he landed several illegal shots on his downed opponent after the referee’s intervention, which would have dire consequences in a real UFC outing.

Rousimar Palhares was fined and released from UFC years ago for similar behaviour, having hung onto submissions beyond the ref’s signal.

Gyllenhaal is no stranger to combat sports movies, having starred in the widely acclaimed boxing movie Southpaw.

Jake Gyllenhaal’s debut at UFC 285 was one for the books, as he impressed fans with his outstanding performance. The Hollywood star’s upcoming movie, the remake of the cult classic Road House, is expected to be just as action-packed as his octagon appearance.

Gyllenhaall joined Conor McGregor in the audience and the two seemed to be getting along swimmingly, watching the show.
