(Video) Egged on? Boxer Conor Benn slaps away interviewer’s microphone when approached

Conor BennĀ  has found himself at the center of a fresh controversy after slapping away the microphone of a TalkSPORT reporter during an interview request at the O2 Arena in London.

The incident occurred just days after the announcement that he was cleared of any wrongdoing by the World Boxing Council, following a failed PED test that caused the cancellation of his planned outing with Chris Eubank Junior.

Benn wasn’t exactly pleased about how his name was cleared because his test was blamed on having consumed too many eggs. This in turn caused the internet to troll Benn.

Benn was ringside at the O2 Arena for the Anthony Joshua versus Jermaine Franklin boxing bout. He then reacted angrily to Gareth A Davies’ interview request and slapped his microphone away.

This reaction was deemed disrespectful and unacceptable by many boxing fans, who quickly took to social media to express their opinions.

The incident with the reporter is not the first time Benn has been embroiled in a controversy. His cancelled outing with Eubank Junior due to a failed test left many people questioning his integrity and reputation. Despite being cleared of any wrongdoing by the World Boxing Council, the controversy has not gone away and has continued to affect his public image.

The recent incident with the reporter is not only disrespectful but also damaging to Benn’s career. As a professional athlete, his behavior and actions are expected to be exemplary, both inside and outside of the ring. Such an incident only adds to the negative attention that has been surrounding him lately.

By slapping away the microphone, Benn has shown a lack of professionalism, which could ultimately affect his future boxing opportunities. His actions could lead to a loss of support from his fans and sponsors, which may impact his earnings potential.
