Controversial mixed martial artist Dillon Danis has finally conceded that Brendan Schaub played a role in his encounter with the Paul brothers, shedding light on the long-standing feud between them.
Dillon Danis’ tumultuous history with Logan and Jake Paul is no secret. Their rivalry has spilled from social media to in-person altercations, including a memorable water balloon prank that left Danis soaked and infuriated.
During the prank, Jake Paul and his friends ambushed Dillon Danis, who was filming a show with podcaster Brendan Schaub. While speculation pointed fingers at Schaub for tipping off Jake Paul about their location, Danis had vehemently denied it. Schaub, in his defense, had claimed that he merely cautioned Danis about a potential visit from Paul.
In a recent appearance on The MMA Hour, Danis offered his perspective on the incident. He revealed that Schaub had informed him about Jake Paul’s inquiries regarding their whereabouts in a group chat.
According to Danis, he initially viewed Schaub’s message as a friendly reminder to stay vigilant. However, moments later, Jake Paul and his entourage arrived and began pelting Danis with water balloons.
Danis recounted the interaction, saying, “When I got there, he [Brendan Schaub] said to me, ‘Logan and Jake have been asking about your location. I just want to let you know.’ That’s all he said to me and that’s all I know. And I said, ‘what does that mean?’ He goes, ‘just asking about your location.’ They’ve been in a group chat, and I saw it.”
He continued, “So he didn’t say anything. So I said to him, ‘well, if they come, and they come in numbers, you are right on my back. It’s just me and you.’ And he was like, ‘yeah, I got you.’ And then when they come, he stood there. He didn’t do anything. I was like, ‘what the f*ck, Schaub?'”
When asked if he believes Schaub set him up, Danis responded, “He probably did.”
The tension between Dillon Danis and the Paul brothers has escalated to the point where Danis is set to face off against Logan Paul in a boxing match. Their clash will take place at the MF & DAZN: X Series – The Prime Card event on October 14, headlining an evening that features KSI and Tommy Fury in the main event.
Danis has intensified his feud with Logan Paul by bringing up his fiancée’s past on social media, a move that has added another layer of animosity to their impending showdown.
