The disturbing incident unfolded at the EUBC Schoolboys and Schoolgirls European Boxing Championships in Zlatibor, Serbia, during a match between Serbian boxer Viktor Majstorovic and Azerbaijani competitor Yusif Aghakisiyev in the 75kg category. The tournament, designed to showcase the skills of 13 and 14-year-old boxers from across Europe, quickly descended into mayhem.
According to reports from local outlet Informer, tensions reached a boiling point when Aghakisiyev received a warning from referee Stefan Cubalevski for repeated fouls. The Azerbaijani boxer’s coach became visibly incensed by the official’s decision, setting the stage for an unprecedented breach of sporting conduct.
Video footage of the incident reveals the coach charging into the ring with alarming aggression, immediately targeting the unsuspecting referee. The coach pushed Cubalevski forcefully in the back, causing the official to stumble forward in obvious confusion as he turned to face his unexpected attacker.
