Former two-division world champion and UFC Hall of Famer BJ Penn has voiced his disbelief in the existence of dinosaurs.
Penn is known for his remarkable achievements in mixed martial arts. He is the only competitor to win both the UFC lightweight and welterweight belts throughout his two-decade-long career in mixed martial arts.
However, Penn has recently gained attention for his unconventional views and controversial statements. These days he is known for his far-right agenda, which has given rise to some really absurd allegations.
Penn’s social media presence (particularly on Instagram) offers a glimpse into the extent of his conspiracy theories.
A post shared by @FullContactMTWF on Twitter captures a passionate rant by Penn, where he questions the existence of dinosaurs as well as the validity of the theory of evolution. He then goes on to assert that the world will experience an apocalyptic event in 2050, only to reset back to the year 1850.
Penn wrote: “#America ended the war when they bought Alaska and Oregon from Russia and that is now America won the west !! But these guys lie the whole f*ckin time !! Same with us Hawaiians! Just the same as f*ckin fake as Dinosaurs, Neanderthal man, and aliens.”
Beyond his skepticism regarding dinosaurs, Penn also makes incorrect historical claims. He erroneously suggested that George Washington wrote the U.S. Constitution.
However, this assertion contradicts well-documented history. The Constitution was actually drafted by James Madison during the 1787 Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia. Although Washington presided over the event and signed the Constitution, he did not write it.
Additionally, Penn has expressed skepticism toward Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE). It is a serious medical condition commonly associated with repeated head injuries.
He wrote: “CTE is faker than a 3 dollar bill! The best part is that CTE can only be proven if someone is dead? How stupid is that ? But is it more stupid than you taking all of the coronavirus boosters lol”
