The View Host Comes At Joe Rogan Over Joe Biden Comments

Joe Rogan found himself in the crosshairs of “The View” after co-host Sunny Hostin challenged his recent comments about the Biden administration’s handling of immigration and border policy.

During episode 2565 of The Joe Rogan Experience, the podcast host sat down with actor Michael Douglas and delivered an extended critique of the Democratic Party, including pointed remarks about President Biden’s border policies.

Rogan told Douglas, a lifelong Democrat: “It was insane to just not only leave the border open, but give people instructions on how to get in and also transport them to cities and then put them up in hotels.”

The comments quickly made their way to the daytime talk show, where Hostin took aim at Rogan’s claims with a series of fact-checks.

“I’m not sure why he can’t afford a fact checker,” Hostin said, referencing Rogan’s $250 million Spotify deal and his 74.2 million followers across platforms.

Hostin systematically addressed Rogan’s statements. On the assertion that Biden left the border open, she noted: “Biden even explicitly told migrants don’t come over during an ABC News interview with George Stephanopoulos in March 2021. The administration was still turning away most single adults and many families under Title 42.”

She then tackled Rogan’s claim about transporting migrants to cities and putting them up in hotels.

“Who organized and paid for transport, Joe? Republican governors,” Hostin said, pointing to Texas Governor Greg Abbott and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis as the architects of high-profile state-run busing and flight operations.

When Rogan suggested on his podcast that Democrats might be attempting to turn migrants into voters, speculating “was it to turn these people into citizens and have them permanently voting your side because you helped them and let them in,” Hostin countered with statistics showing that votes by non-citizens occur at rates between 0.0003% and 0.001%.

During his conversation with Douglas, Rogan didn’t limit his criticism to immigration. He questioned Biden’s mental fitness for office.

He said, “You know that Biden wasn’t the president for four years. It’s really clear that his mental ability was severely declined. He was compromised.”

He also criticized the Democratic primary process, noting they hadn’t had a primary since 2012 and questioned the legitimacy of how candidates were selected.

Rogan’s political commentary has drawn scrutiny from multiple quarters. A Media Matters review of 33 episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience posted between July 1 and September 14, 2026, found that five episodes contained what the organization classified as election misinformation. Those five episodes garnered more than 10.8 million YouTube views combined, outperforming other episodes by more than 41%.
