Mark Zuckerberg’s sparring partner: “You don’t know this nerd is a silent killer.”

One of the biggest celebrities that have taken up MMA training is Mark Zuckerberg. Zuckerberg is the CEO and founder of Meta and one of the wealthiest men alive.

The software tycoon has been working out at Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu Academy in San Jose, California. It seems that he is improving his skills.

Zuckerberg’s sparring partner from the video posted last month, professional mixed martial artist Khai Wu said that Mark Zuckerberg has been training privately with him for a number of months.

He said,

“We call them jiu jitsu nerds. You’d never expect these guys to be able to take you down. Next thing you know, they’re attacking you with these extremely technical moves.”

Wu added:

“You’d never expect these guys to be able to take you down. Next thing you know, they’re attacking you with these extremely technical moves. You don’t know this nerd is a silent killer.”

Wu also said that the business tycoon isn’t one to back down in a pinch.

“He’s never like, ‘Don’t do that.’ He’s actually asked, ‘Can you give me a little more resistance, a little more force? I want to feel it.’”

After losing over half of his wealth in 2022, Zuckerberg decided to take up MMA. Zuckerberg’s stock price decline last week was noted by Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index, which saw the owner of Meta fall to 20th position.

Since 2014, Mark Zuckerberg’s position on Bloomberg’s list of the world’s richest persons has dropped to its lowest point.

According to Laura Martin, senior internet analyst at Needham & Co., investments in the metaverse are dragging down the value of Zuckerberg’s firm.

Additionally, Martin said that Meta is ‘hampered by excessive regulatory scrutiny and intervention’. Despite his financial difficulties, Zuckerberg remains optimistic about a Meta metaverse return.

He stated during an appearance on The Joe Rogan Podcast.

“You know the next vision for the broader internet could potentially get there, you just don’t know how long it takes and what exactly Meta’s role will be… all you know right now is, essentially, it’s going to cost a lot of money.”

“My goal for these next set of platforms, they are going to be more immersive, and hopefully they’ll be more useful – but I don’t necessarily want people to spend more time with computers. I just want the time that people spend with screens to be better.”
