The release of over 8,000 pages of congressional documents related to Jeffrey Epstein has generated controversy in the health and wellness community. Longevity entrepreneur Bryan Johnson recently clarified his connection to Epstein in a social media post.
Johnson is known for his controversial “Project Blueprint” anti-aging protocol and his previous work as the founder of brain interface company Kernel. He took to social media to address his appearance in the newly released documents.
According to Johnson, his sole interaction with Epstein occurred eight years ago through a single video call lasting approximately ten minutes.
“A mutual contact put us in touch as I was building my brain interface company Kernel and he had supposedly done some neuroscience stuff at MIT,” Johnson wrote. “After a ten minute video call I immediately called the person who put us in contact and told him that Epstein seemed like a very dark person. I felt sick to my stomach.”

The entrepreneur emphasized that he never met Epstein in person and declined all further communication.
Email records from October 2017 show Johnson initially expressing interest in meeting while traveling through New York, but the exchange ended with the scheduling of a video call instead. Epstein was in Florida at the time, according to the correspondence.

“I remember this so clearly because I knew nothing about him but weirdly, intuitively, something was deeply wrong,” Johnson explained. “Being in his proximity felt dangerous. Despite having nothing to go off of, I never interacted with him again and came to find out years later that he’d had a past.”
The incident also led some on social media to question Johnson’s account.

However, Johnson clarified the timeline. “This was pre-call… I was offering in person because I was traveling through NY. It ended up being a call, first and last time I interacted with him.”

Apart from Johnson, Epstein has been connected to other figures in the health and wellness space. The documents reveal that longevity physician Dr. Peter Attia maintained contact with Epstein spanning several years, including appointments that continued well after Epstein’s 2008 conviction.
Calendar entries and email correspondence show Attia had multiple scheduled appointments with Epstein from at least 2015 through 2018.
In one message dated June 24, 2015, Attia reportedly wrote: “You the biggest problem with becoming friends with you? The life you lead is so outrageous, and yet I can’t tell a soul.”
Additional details from the correspondence show Attia communicating about staying at Epstein’s New York apartment and making references to “JE withdrawal” when periods passed without contact.
Critics have noted that in Attia’s book ‘Outlive,’ he describes staying away from his wife in the hospital for several days during a medical crisis involving their infant son, citing “important work” in New York. However, the timeframe overlaps with Attia’s documented meetings with Epstein.
As a licensed physician, Attia would have been classified as a mandated reporter, carrying legal and ethical obligations to report suspected endangerment of vulnerable populations, particularly children.
As of publication, Attia has not issued a public statement addressing his relationship with Epstein or the content of the released emails.
Social media analytics indicate he has lost approximately 30,000 followers on Instagram since the documents became public.

The documents also revealed that physician and integrative medicine advocate Deepak Chopra had at least a dozen appointments with Epstein between 2016 and 2019. Chopra told CBS News their connection began through an introduction by Barnaby Marsh, former CEO of the Templeton Foundation, and centered on teaching Epstein meditation techniques to address chronic insomnia.
“Our meetings, focused solely on practicing meditation, lasted about 30 minutes each,” Chopra explained.
Epstein’s interest in health extended to business ventures. Records show he had been planning since at least 2012 to establish a company focused on gene sequencing. His calendar entries reveal meetings with numerous prominent figures right up until his arrest on federal trafficking charges in July 2019.
