Larry Wheels Blames Marital Crisis on AI Generated Content About Wife, And ‘Toxic’ Streaming Culture

Powerlifting champion and content creator Larry Wheels opened up about the current state of his marriage during an appearance on the Creators Inc. Podcast, revealing how AI-generated rumors and the pressures of live broadcasting have created serious strain in his relationship.

Early in the conversation, Wheels admitted that things at home have become difficult.

“We’re actually going through something right now. Tremendously,” he said when the topic of his marriage came up.

According to Wheels, one of the biggest issues has been the spread of AI-generated content involving his wife. He explained that fake clips and fabricated social media posts have been circulating online and gaining massive traction despite being completely false.

“I’m literally seeing AI clips of my wife saying that she made a story post and she’s with like Deen and some s**t. It’s just the most random stuff, and it got like over 10 million views in a day,” Wheels said.

He continued by explaining how convincing the fake content appears to many viewers despite being obviously fabricated to him.

“It’s a clearly AI made story post of my wife saying she’s currently with like Deen or AB or whatever. It’s got like over 10 million views and it’s literally AI and it’s obvious that it is to me but I guess not to everyone else,” he added.

Wheels then connected the rise of this kind of content to the culture surrounding broadcasting channels, arguing that controversy drives engagement more than anything else.

“The strea ming is a colosseum. People want to see blood and guts, chaos, controversy, drama, action,” he said. “And the clippers know that and they know negativity spreads faster than positivity. So, as a result, they just literally spin negative narratives and just straight up make stuff up. Whatever it takes to get views.”

He also explained how constantly seeing negativity online has affected both him and his wife emotionally.

“It’s difficult for both of us not to pay attention to the negativity that comes from broadcasting because if you’re on X and you see these clips and you go to the conversation, it’s all negativity,” Wheels said. “Those are the things that have really strained the marriage.”

According to Wheels, his wife initially appeared in content alongside him but eventually decided to distance herself from the world entirely because of the constant online attacks.

“She started broadcasting with me and then because it’s just so toxic for her, she’s like, I don’t want to be a part of it,” he said.

Later in the conversation, Wheels elaborated further on why she chose to step away.

“She doesn’t like being the butt of the joke and people like dragging her name through the mud and poking her and pushing her buttons and trying to get a rage bait from her,” he explained.

Wheels acknowledged that if the two of them chose to lean into the controversy, they could likely become even bigger online personalities. However, he said his wife values peace far more than internet fame or financial gain.

“If we leaned into it, we’d be the most viral strea mers there is because there’s just so much opportunity there to do that,” Wheels said. “But she didn’t want no part of it. She just wants to live a peaceful life, have peace of mind. And for some people, it’s worth more than money.”
