Khabib Nurmagomedov to play a role at newly founded PSG MMA team

There’s exciting news in the world of Mixed Martial ArtsĀ  as reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain CEO and President Nasser Al-Khelaifi is teaming up with former UFC Champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz to form a new team called PSG MMA.

Nurmagomedov reportedly took a step back from being head of his MMA team, to reduce travel and spend more time with the family. But in his downtime, he’s been much more focused on business than was first thought.

According to MMA Factory’s Abou Bathily’s recent tweet, this collaboration is expected to bring together martial artists from Dagestan, and many more.

MMA Factory previously butted heads with Abdelaziz over Slim Trabelsi so it’s interesting to see that they’re capable of looking past their differences.

Khabib recently extended an invite to MMA Factory’s Cyril Gane, to go to Dagestan to get a handle on wrestling and rally back and become a UFC champion.

While the details of the project are still under wraps, Khabib has been spotted with various high-profile football players including Cristiano Ronaldo.

As for Nasser, he has been heading Paris Saint-German since 2011.

With a five-year plan to propel PSG to the top of the league in France and beyond, Nasser appointed former footballer Leonardo as the director of football to strategize and secure some of the best players in the world.

Despite a disappointing start to the 2011-2012 season, PSG has grown to become a leading European club, with big names like Neymar, Lionel Messi, and Kylian Mbappe among others joining the squad.

Besides his involvement with PSG, Nasser also holds the position of chairman for the beIN Media group and Qatar Sports Investments.

The potential collaboration between PSG and Khabib has sent MMA fans into a frenzy, with many anticipating a strong team that could make waves in the sport. However, the project is still yet to be confirmed by the parties involved.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was previously in Qatar for the World Cup, and is a spokesperson for Qatar airways. Either way, at least this is a legitimate investment unlike his cryptocurrency partnership with GMT Token.
