Podcast host Joe Rogan recently shared his thoughts on Amazon founder Jeff Bezos’ dramatic physical transformation, suggesting that the billionaire’s impressive physique is likely the result of hormone replacement therapy rather than natural aging. When asked directly if he thought Bezos was on st**oids, Rogan responded with certainty: “a hundred percent.”
However, Rogan was quick to clarify his position, stating he wouldn’t categorize it as st**oids. “He is on hormone replacement therapy, in my opinion, because he gained a significant amount of muscle mass deep into his 40s,” Rogan explained during his podcast.
The UFC commentator pointed to Bezos’ remarkable physical transformation as evidence, noting how dramatically the tech mogul’s appearance has changed from his earlier, leaner days.
Importantly, Rogan emphasized that he wasn’t criticizing Bezos for this alleged approach. “I take testosterone replacement so it’s not… I’m not demonizing it. I don’t think it’s bad, I think it’s wise if you want your body to perform well,” he stated.
Rogan advocated for a responsible approach to hormone replacement therapy, recommending regular blood work and consultation with knowledgeable doctors who understand the treatment.
The podcast host highlighted the health benefits of maintaining muscle mass and strength, particularly as one ages. “It wards off diseases better, it keeps your immune system healthier. The more muscle you have and the stronger your body is, the healthier your body is,” Rogan observed. He praised Bezos’ current appearance, saying “he looks great” and describing him as “a healthier way better way stronger version of what he looked like.”
Rogan also touched on what he sees as societal double standards regarding body image. He pointed out the contradiction between fat-shaming being considered unacceptable while “muscle shaming” seems more tolerated, despite Bezos clearly being in excellent physical condition.
Beyond the physical transformation discussion, Rogan expressed admiration for how Bezos has embraced his wealth and status. He noted the billionaire’s lifestyle changes, from driving a modest Honda in 1999 despite being worth billions, to his current extravagant lifestyle complete with a yacht so large that a bridge needs to be dismantled for it to reach the ocean.
“I love Jeff Bezos,” Rogan concluded, appreciating the dramatic transformation from “nerdy dude” to what he called a “super baller out of control guy.”
