Jake Paul, the former YouTuber-turned-boxer, has once again found himself at the center of a controversy surrounding the legitimacy of his boxing bouts. Despite his recent victory over former UFC star Mike Perry, some critics are still claiming that the bout was staged or rigged.
In a recent episode of the ImPaulsive podcast, Paul expressed his frustration with these allegations. “I’m seeing the ‘Perry looked different in this fight so it’s got to be rigged, no way he would do this, it’s impossible Jake beat him,’ he said, mocking the claims of those who believe his fights are not genuine.
Paul went on to say, “There is people out there, these f*cking nimrods. I can’t believe how dumb people are, it’s so sad! And Mike Perry said it best, he said a different version, but he said the dumb people don’t know they’re dumb. But, man, I hate the world.”
The accusations of staged fights have been a constant thorn in Paul’s side since he stepped into the boxing world. This latest victory, however, has been met with renewed skepticism from some fans and critics who refuse to believe that the YouTuber-turned-boxer can truly compete at a high level.

Despite these doubts, Paul has found support from some of the biggest names in boxing. Figures like Terence Crawford, Manny Pacquiao, and Evander Holyfield have shown him respect, a fact that the young boxer takes great pride in.
“The respect from my peers means more than anything, all the greats, all the legends,” Paul said. “But it concerns me and bothers me because they can vote and drive on the road.”
