Illegal streamer mocks Dana White’s comments, gets X account shut down

A prominent unauthorized content distribution platform found itself silenced on social media following a public exchange with UFC CEO Dana White. The controversy began when White addressed the issue of unlawful streaming during a recent press conference.

White, known for his tough stance on piracy, declared, “We know exactly how to combat this problem. I won’t reveal our specific strategies, but we take aggressive action during every event. A few years ago, we started taking legal action against individuals. That’s the real solution – start prosecuting people for theft.”

These comments quickly caught the attention of Streameast, a well-known entity in the world of unauthorized content distribution. The platform’s social media account boldly responded to White’s remarks, saying, “Come and get it then Dana.”

Streameast didn’t stop there. They continued to challenge White’s assertions, stating, “He’s been trying for more than a decade, and we’re more prevalent than back then.” The platform even shared an image of a t-shirt with the words “increase fighter pay,” touching on a sensitive topic within the MMA community.

The unauthorized streaming site also weighed in on the broader discussion of content affordability. They argued, “We wouldn’t have to do what we do if they just make these things affordable. We don’t want to have to do what we do. We have to.”

Streameast further criticized the disparity between White’s reported net worth and fighter compensation, claiming, “There’s a difference between free and affordable. Make Dana White’s net worth being over half a billion, yet his employees have to pay for medical out of their own pockets make sense.”

However, shortly after this public exchange, Streameast’s social media account was suddenly shut down. The exact reasons for the account’s removal remain unclear, but the timing has led many to speculate about potential behind-the-scenes actions.

This incident occurs as the UFC is in the midst of negotiations with ESPN for a new broadcasting contract. The current partnership between the two entities began in 2018.
