Former UFC champion Rose Namajunas poses for Victoria’s Secret

With the accent on UFC athlete compensation model it’s more and more apparent that your favorite athletes aren’t really making enough to retire.

This is why many UFC athletes have alternate sources of income including selling off their used shorts, pants and providing behind the stage access to their lives.

Earlier this month there was a first Playmate UFC athlete and now it’s been published that longtime fanfavorite Rose Namajunas became the first mixed martial artist to model for Victoria’s Secret. The former UFC women’s strawweight champion posed for the brand’s digital campaign.

Rose Namajunas has become one of the most recognizable female mixed martial artists in the UFC. ‘Thug Rose’ is a former two-time UFC women’s strawweight champion and provided entertaining combat in the octagon. Unfortunately, she lost her belt for the second time against Carla Esparza back in May.

Several months of not getting in touch with fans, Namajunas returned and she took her modeling career to the next level. She was featured in the famous women’s lingerie brand Victoria’s Secret. The brand has been positioning themselves as an advocate for all types of women. In their ‘Undefinable’ they featured several models including Rose Namajunas.

Rose Namajunas appeared in several Instagram posts, including one picture where she posed with the brand’s product. In another post, they shared her quote that says: “When I got into the UFC, I felt an expectation to be ‘pretty’ so that people would pay attention. So, I shaved my hair off and made them pay attention.”

In another post where she can be seen doing some light training and said, “My name is Rose Namajunas, and my mood is undefinable. My diet is undefinable. My style is undefinable.

This is not the first time Namajunas was featured as a model. Back in 2017, the 30-year-old posed for ESPN Body Issue that later became a norm for UFC athletes, including the infamous Conor McGregor.

Rose Namajunas suffered a devastating loss on her last octagon appearance. She lost her strawweight belt against Carla Esparza and not just that, many fans branded her match as a snorefest. Namajunas hasn’t talked about her next move in the octagon or who is the next opponent she will face.
