Dillon Danis On Paddy Pimblett: He’s Cringe As F—

Dillon Danis is back in the public eye following an appearance on the MMA Hour. The Bellator star recently guested on a Barstool podcast Plan Bri Uncut and there he talked extensively about a variety of subjects – many not MMA related.

Danis, 28, got to weigh in on UFC’s latest sensation Paddy Pimblett. Pimblett is 2 years his junior at 26, and he’s quite adept at bjj. Still Danis didn’t have good words for the Liverpool native:

As the podcast Danis was guesting on was a part of the Barstool network, Danis was asked about their latest hire.

Interviewer: Uh, so bar stool sports, we just hired Paddy the Baddie, do you know who that is?
Danis: Yeah I thought that was bs. I was mad at Portnoy for that. Yeah me and Portnoy are homies and I was like “Come on”

Interviewer: Why are you mad?

Danis: Because he’s terrible
Interviewer: you think Paddy the Baddie is terrible?

Danis: Terrible. And he’s cringe as f—-.

Interviewer: I never like seen him do, does he do content?

Danis: He, no, he talks. Never listen to him talking, he’s terrible.

Interviewer:  He’s awful?

Danis: Terrible. He’s a  terrible fighter too.

Oh he’s terrible.

Interviewer: He’s ufc right?

Danis: Yeah but he’s not, he’s not good.

Interviewer: Awful?

Danis: They just hired because – the reason they signed him to the ufc is because he’s like big in Liverpool and they were pulled in half that many people. So he was like one of the only fighters from Liverpool, so he’s like kind of like they backed him up you know? But he’s not good at all like terrible, yeah.

Interviewer: You just don’t think, do you think anyone’s good?

Danis: I mean I think some people I’ll tell you if you ask me about someone I think they’re good.

Of course Danis might have a score to settle here. Pimblett is rumored to be on the outs with troubled Irish Sports Star Conor McGregor. The two had gone back on forth on social media and elsewhere for the last five years with the rivalry culminating in a rumored late night visit to Pimblett’s house.

It all started with Paddy making an interesting charity bet sometime in 2015.

Paddy pledged he would be giving 10k to an autism charity if he couldn’t defeat McGregor in the next 5 years.

But the verbal jabs went even further, at one point Paddy Pimblett went to the finals of Europa League with his McGregor banner in tow.

According to new reports this lead to McGregor going to Liverpool to confront Paddy – and being in front of his house.

McGregor even somewhat confirmed the event recently:

And Paddy briefly addressed this during the post fight press conference following UFC debut against Luigi Vandramini.

“Well, when he was in Liverpool back in 2017, he was supposedly outside my house. I don’t know if he was outside wanting me to come and party with him, or looking to fight.”

‘The Baddy’ continued, “But he was meant to be outside my house in the middle of the night. But, he must have been at the wrong house lad cause my mum has CCTV lad. Obviously, if he was outside my house, that was getting videoed and put all over Instagram… I wished he would have knocked on lad, cause at the time I was out partying all the time. And I would have been partying with him.”
