Chimaev & Sonnen mock reports that Chimaev had visa issues

The UFC super-prospect Khamzat Chimaev is booked for a showdown against former title challenger Gilbert ‘Durinho’ Burns in April. But earlier last month there were reports that he had reportedly been denied  permission to enter the United States.

According to sources, the Russian-born Swedish fighter was unable to enter the country in January 2022. It was later explained that he was denied entry at the airport due to visa problems.

In spite of the explanation, some fans speculated. One of the predominant fan theories was that he was denied entry because of his relationship with the controversial Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov.

Kadyrov grew even more notorious with the departing of his troops to aid Russia during Ukraine invasion.

However Chimaev’s visa issue appears to be sorted out – Chimaev joined Sonnen for a brief skit mocking the news.

“Alright guys, I’ve been telling you for a while Khamzat Chimaev can’t get into the US. It’s some kind of a visa issue. I don’t know what’s going on but these rumors are true and I ran into a guy that says he’s got some info on this. So you’re saying Khamzat can get here?”

Chimev’s friend responds: “Yeah, I think so.”

Chimaev is the final voice to pipe in “I smash everyone”
