Boxing Champ Amanda Serrano signs with PFL, will make MMA debut

Renowned boxing champion Amanda Serrano is all set to make her return to the world of mixed martial arts, this time under the prestigious PFL banner.

With multiple world championships under her belt, Amanda Serrano is hailed as one of the greatest female boxers of all time. However, she hasn’t limited herself to the boxing ring alone.

From 2018 to 2021, Serrano ventured into the realm of MMA where she displayed an impressive unbeaten record in three matches. Serrano competed for Combate and iKon.

Currently, Serrano finds herself preparing to face Heather Hardy in the boxing realm. She is currently representing Jake Paul’s MVP banner. This affiliation has undoubtedly played a crucial role in securing her spot in the PFL. Jake Paul himself joined the PFL earlier in the year, and now Serrano is following suit.

Fans learned about Serrano’s signing with the PFL during The MMA Hour on the Road event, held to promote the highly anticipated boxing spectacle between Jake Paul and Nate Diaz.

The PFL officials confirmed that Serrano will be competing in their Super Fight division, which promises exciting matchups and incredible opportunities for competitors.

In her official statement on Wednesday, Serrano expressed her enthusiasm for joining the PFL PPV Super Fight Division. The league’s commitment to organizing high-profile pay-per-view events featuring some of the biggest MMA stars globally presents an excellent chance for her to take her career to new heights and prove herself beyond the confines of the boxing ring.

Serrano stated: “I joined the PFL PPV Super Fight Division because of their revolutionary format that empowers fighters like never before. The PFL’s commitment to promoting high-profile, pay-per-view events with some of the biggest MMA stars in the world showcases an incredible opportunity to elevate my career to new heights and prove my ability beyond just the ring.”

“I may be known for boxing, but I’ve always loved and trained in MMA and Jiu-Jitsu, knowing those skills would only add to my ability when going against any opponent. The League’s commitment to gender equality, providing equal opportunities and recognition of female fighters, is also a driving force behind my decision. I can’t wait to step back into the cage and deliver thrilling performances and unforgettable moments for fans around the world.”

Beyond her achievements in MMA, Amanda Serrano boasts an impressive 44-2-1 record as a professional boxer. Additionally, she has showcased her talents in submission grappling with a perfect 5-0 record. Notably, Serrano has also trained as a pro wrestler in the past.
