Bare-knuckle star’s face unrecognizable following 101 second knockout loss

Jason Knight looked almost unrecognizable after losing his first bare-knuckle mixed martial arts match in less than two minutes.

The 31-year-old was the opponent of fellow UFC veteran Randy Costa on Friday night’s program, which was sponsored by former BMF champion Jorge Masvidal.

Knight threw some punches of his own. However, he was unable to withstand Costa’s relentless combinations and precision leading to his defeat in just 101 seconds.

After the bout, Knight took to social media to share his thoughts on the loss. What caught the attention of many were the pictures portraying the toll of the encounter — his face swollen and covered in blood.

Despite the overwhelming defeat, Knight received an outpouring of support from fans and peers alike.

UFC commentator Jon Anik acknowledged Knight as a warrior, emphasizing respect for his unwavering spirit. He wrote, “Warrior. Respect always.”

Comments flooded in, praising Knight for his bravery and his reputation as a legend in the sport. One fan commented, “You’re a legend bro, as game as they come.”

Another wrote, “Respect mate, went out on your shield, never in a boring fight!”

Jason Knight then returned to Instagram, looking considerably healthier. He expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support.

In his post, he stated: “I just want to say, thank you for all of the love and support that everyone has showed no way in hell will I ever get a chance to reply to everyone but all the love is very much appreciated.”

“Head held high. I went out on my shield as always!! Jorge Masvidal thank you for the opportunity! Randy Costa f*** you very much. Good job last night buddy enjoy your victory you definitely earned it!!”

Randy Costa responded to Knight’s post, expressing admiration and wishing him a speedy recovery. He wrote: “Class act brother. Was a fan before and will forever be a fan going forward. Speedy recovery and sending all the love to you and yours. Was an honor bro…”

While uncertainties loom over his future, Knight’s resilience and spirit he displayed in the face of adversity earned him the respect and admiration of fans and fellow athletes.
