An AI spoof ‘G.I. Joe Rogan’ commercial has dropped that looks like it could actually exist

An AI-generated parody commercial has captured the internet’s attention with its pitch-perfect satire of podcast host Joe Rogan’s public persona, complete with all the references his devoted audience would expect.

The video presents a fictional “G.I. Joe Rogan playset” in the style of classic 1980s action figure commercials, featuring a miniature version of the UFC commentator and podcast host engaged in various adventures.

The mock advertisement showcases Rogan confronting a hairless chimpanzee to rescue a dog named Marshall. When he’s hurt, he utilizes recovery protocols and wellness accessories that mirror topics frequently discussed on his podcast.

“Initiate recovery protocol! Activate heat shock proteins in the Ways to Well playset! Quick heal with BPC-157!” the narrator announces in the trailer, referencing the peptide compound Rogan has mentioned in health discussions.

The parody includes several recurring themes from The Joe Rogan Experience, including appearances by conspiracy theorist Alex Jones. “Oh no! It’s Alex Jones! I don’t like them putting chemicals in the water!” the video proclaims, directly referencing one of Jones’ most notorious rants.

The fictional toy comes equipped with appropriately themed accessories. “G.I. Joe Rogan playset comes loaded with official haunted accessories. It also includes limited edition compound bow and realistic elk targets!” the commercial states, nodding to Rogan’s well-documented enthusiasm for bowhunting.

Perhaps the most telling aspect comes in the fine print disclaimers: “Accessories sold separately. Batteries not included. Supplements not real. Do not take medical advice from a toy.”

The video’s quality proved convincing enough to momentarily trick at least one person in Rogan’s circle. Gordon Ryan, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu champion and friend of the podcast host, reportedly shared the video on social media, suggesting that producing such a product would generate enormous revenue for Rogan.

The online response has been overwhelmingly positive, with many praising the attention to detail and authenticity of the parody. Commenters expressed genuine interest in purchasing such a product, with several noting they would need additional character figures and playsets to complete the collection.

“I’d buy one just to annoy my wife, but of course, I’m going to need the chimp action figure, Young Jamie, and the studio setup,” one commenter wrote.

Others appreciated the satirical craftsmanship. “As far as AI goes, this is top notch,” one user observed, while another commented on the height accuracy: “You can tell it’s AI because Rogan is too tall.”

Some viewers expressed concern about the rapid advancement of the technology, with one noting, “If this is actually AI then I’m terrified of what we will have in 10 years.”
