UFC lightweight Michael Chandler is set to make another appearance in WWE, with the former Bellator champion officially confirmed for the upcoming episode of NXT on November 4.
Chandler will take on a special role during an unsanctioned match between Cruz Montana and Dion Lennox, serving as the guest enforcer to help keep the situation under control. The announcement comes as the rivalry between the two NXT stars continues to escalate, with WWE seemingly expecting things to get particularly chaotic when they finally meet inside the ring.
The crossover came about after Chandler personally reached out to NXT General Manager Robert Stone. In a video shared on social media, the UFC veteran offered his services, suggesting that Stone needed someone with experience handling unpredictable situations to oversee the contest.
Chandler’s offer did not go unnoticed. Stone subsequently confirmed his involvement, with the former Bellator lightweight champion enthusiastically accepting the assignment.
While Chandler will not be competing in the match himself, his presence adds an interesting dimension to the already heated rivalry.
This will not be Chandler’s first appearance on WWE programming. He previously appeared on Monday Night Raw in February 2024, where he grabbed a microphone and called out Conor McGregor. The moment generated considerable attention, particularly given the long-standing speculation surrounding a potential UFC showdown between the two.
Chandler has also shown an interest in professional wrestling beyond occasional television appearances. He previously visited the WWE Performance Center, where he got an opportunity to train inside the ring, further suggesting that a crossover into wrestling has remained on his radar.
Meanwhile, the November 4 edition of NXT has been moved from its usual Tuesday slot because of US midterm election coverage. Chandler’s involvement will be part of a stacked show, which is also scheduled to feature John Cena and Cody Rhodes.
The announcement also received a response from WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels. Chandler acknowledged the confirmation on X, writing, “See you there! Order in the chaos!” Michaels had earlier teased the upcoming episode, stating that “Next Wednesday NXT gets even bigger!”
