Mike Tyson Got ‘Depressed’ After Losing To Jake Paul

In an unexpected revelation, boxing legend Mike Tyson has opened up about his emotional struggles following his recent defeat to Jake Paul at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. The November 15th event, which broke Netflix’s record for most concurrent viewers during a live event, left the former heavyweight champion dealing with unexpected emotional aftermath.

Speaking with Steve Covino and Rich Davis on Fox Sports Radio, Tyson revealed his post-match emotional state. “That fight was such a big ascent-we were so up and high, we were so excited,” he shared. “The fight’s over, boom. Wow, I’m kind of depressed a little bit. We got to get back [into] our living situation [daily life], back to living. [We were] training for it nine months.”

The 58-year-old boxing icon, who reportedly earned $20 million from the event, had spent months preparing for the matchup, sharing training videos and making bold promises that captured fans’ imagination. However, the unanimous decision victory for Paul has left Tyson grappling with the emotional void following such an intense period of preparation and anticipation.

The event wasn’t without controversy, as some spectators questioned the authenticity of the match due to Tyson’s reserved performance. Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the event organizer, strongly defended the legitimacy of the bout. “Each boxer was able to use his full arsenal to win the fight. Any agreement to the contrary would violate TDLR boxing rules,” MVP stated in response to the allegations.

Nakisa Bidarian, MVP’s co-founder, stood firmly behind Paul’s achievement, stating, “Jake has not only proven himself repeatedly, but he continues to set historic records that speak for themselves.”

While his age might suggest it’s time to step away from the ring, his evident passion for the sport leaves questions about what the future might hold for “The Baddest Man on the Planet.”
