In a resurfaced clip, boxing legend Mike Tyson has left fans stunned after inadvertently ignoring a fan who had a tattoo of his face on his arm. The incident, which has gone viral, shows Tyson mingling with fans, seemingly oblivious to the enthusiastic supporter’s attempts to show off his unique tattoo.
Tyson, known for his intimidating presence in the ring, seemed too distracted by the crowd to notice the fan’s enthusiastic gestures, leaving many to sympathize with the devoted fan. However, in a surprising twist, Tyson has made headlines again, this time for a more positive reason.
Mike Tyson has issued a stern warning to Jake Paul in his first public statement since his recent health scare. The highly anticipated fight between the YouTuber-turned-boxer and the former world heavyweight champion has been rescheduled to take place at AT&T Stadium in Texas on November 15. This event will also feature Ireland’s Katie Taylor, the undisputed women’s light-welterweight world champion, fighting Puerto Rico’s Amanda Serrano in the co-main event.
The bouts were initially set for July 20, but Tyson, who turns 58 later this month, had to postpone due to a flare-up of an ulcer. In his statement, Tyson expressed gratitude to the medical staff who treated him and assured fans that he would resume training shortly. He confidently stated, “While we have a new date, the result will be the same no matter when we fight. Jake Paul is getting knocked out.”
Jake Paul responded on social media with, “New date, same place, same fate.” Tyson reinforced his message in a video promoting the bout, declaring, “Different date. Same fate. I’m going to knock out Jake Paul.”
Tyson, who hasn’t fought professionally since 2005, last stepped into the ring for an exhibition bout against Roy Jones Jr. in 2020. Despite the long hiatus, Tyson remains one of the most celebrated boxers in history, having been the first heavyweight to simultaneously hold the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles. His reign as a unified champion ended in 1990 with a surprising defeat by Buster Douglas.
On the other hand, Jake Paul has amassed a record of nine wins out of ten fights, primarily against former UFC fighters. His only loss came at the hands of British boxer Tommy Fury in February last year. As the fight date approaches, the clash between the legendary Tyson and the controversial Paul continues to generate significant buzz and anticipation among fans.
