On a recent episode of his podcast with MMA Guru, Sean O’Malley gave his unfiltered reaction to the kit he’ll be wearing at the UFC White House card on June 14.
The conversation began when O’Malley explained that he had already tried on the gear during media obligations earlier in fight week.

“On Wednesdays of fig ht week, we put on our kit. We do all these pictures. We do all these videos. We do all this promo,” O’Malley explained before teasing his opinion on the design. “But where I’m going with this story, Guru, is I saw the kit. I saw the shorts. I saw what I’m wearing. Ask me if I like them.”
His co-host Guru played along, asking, “Do you like the shorts that you’ll be wearing at the White House, Sean O’Malley?”
O’Malley immediately made his feelings clear.
“It’s funny you bring that up because I don’t know if I’m even supposed to say, but since you brought it up, I feel like I can,” he said. “They’re ugly. Mine were ugly. I don’t like them.”
He continued, “They’re not pink, which is fine. Whatever. I’m not going to not show up because my shorts aren’t pink. I’ll make my hair pink. Whatever. Not mad. But I’m just like, did they go on Fiverr and say, ‘Hey, you know, we got these guys getting in a fig ht at the White House lawn. Can you just come up with something?’”
Despite criticizing the overall design, O’Malley admitted there was at least one aspect he liked about the shorts.
“Bro, when I was wearing them, they’re white, which is whatever,” he said. “I like, I mean, I love white. Dana White, you know. But it’s like they weren’t, I just I didn’t love them.”
The former UFC bantamweight champion then tied the white colorway into his expectations for the match itself, predicting a violent performance against his opponent.
“I will say I like the white because I do truly believe I’m going to crack Aiemann [Zahabi],” O’Malley said. “I’m going to bloody his nose. I think I’m going to hit him a lot. I think he’s going to be very tough. I think he’s going to be very durable. I think I’m going to beat the f**k out of him. So I believe I’m going to, you know, finish him.”
He continued by explaining why the white shorts could ultimately become memorable.
“But I’m excited for my white shorts to be red,” he added. “Like, I’m going to see how red I can get my white shorts from his blood. That is going to be kind of cool. But overall, didn’t love them. Didn’t love them.”
Later in the conversation, Guru asked O’Malley whether he keeps any of his old gear. O’Malley revealed that responsibility usually falls to his mother.
“My mom does,” he said. “She’s like, I want to put them in a box. So I just give them to my mom.”
Guru then pointed out why white shorts could actually become iconic if the fight plays out the way O’Malley expects.
“That’s the most bada*s one,” Guru said. “If you have a white pair of fight shorts and they’re stained with blood, that’s the one you hang up on the wall.”
