Bradley Martyn, the popular fitness influencer and podcast host, recently opened up about his disillusionment with Donald Trump’s presidency during a candid conversation with content creator Sneako. The discussion revealed Martyn’s growing frustration with American politics and his regret over believing Trump’s campaign promises.
“I’ve been talking about this for some time,” Martyn explained. “It just seems like it’s the same body, just two different hands.” The fitness entrepreneur admitted he was initially drawn to Trump’s rhetoric about draining the swamp and releasing controversial information, particularly after watching Trump’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast.
“I’m watching the interview with Joe Rogan, Donald Trump saying we’re going to release all this stuff and we’re going to drain the swamp,” Martyn recalled. “The way all those things were handled, I can’t help but look at that and go, man, I believe something and it didn’t happen.”
Martyn, who previously interviewed Trump himself, expressed deep disappointment with how events unfolded during the administration. “I interviewed Trump. I had conversations with the guy,” he said. “For someone to say enough in their speeches and then just not do any of those things like. Well, I did want to believe. Like, but the way this whole thing was handled is just
like, ‘Bro, you leave me no choice but to not believe you now.’ Like, I can’t believe it now. ”
The influencer acknowledged he was “fooled” by Trump’s promises but pushed back against critics who mock his change of heart. “I wanted to believe what was said,” he stated. “Maybe I should have known. I wanted to believe it would be better, but now I’m just at the point where… it’s so transparent.”
Martyn’s disillusionment extends beyond Trump to the entire political system. He criticized what he sees as a pattern of government corruption that benefits wealthy elites while ordinary Americans struggle. “It’s so transparent. It’s just about a bunch of rich people who want to keep in power, who want to keep the money,” he argued.
The conversation touched on recent foreign policy decisions, including Venezuela, which Martyn sees as another example of rhetoric not matching reality. He said, “Everyone’s like ‘we got the oil.’ It’s like ‘Who’s we, motherf**ker?’… I didn’t get the Doge money. I didn’t get the tariff money. I didn’t get the f**king oil money.”
Martyn expressed exhaustion with partisan tribalism, noting how political affiliations prevent people from thinking critically about issues. “Everyone’s just riding for the same thing that they’re doing at the top level with our country,” he observed. “Everyone gives all they care about is themselves and about money.”
Despite his frustration, Martyn admitted understanding why people remain loyal to their political sides. “I understand people align themselves with the side and if you go even a little bit against it, it’s like you’re not one of me,” he said. “I get it because it’s basic human nature, this community thing.”
The fitness entrepreneur concluded that meaningful change seems unlikely because people are too divided and distracted by everyday financial pressures to organize effectively. “Everyone’s too busy trying to pay bills,” he noted. “The government f**king hates you. We need to figure out another way.”
